cotton candy hair

On Sunday afternoon I saw a lady in Coolidge Park whose hair looked like white cotton candy. I ate a cupcake on a bench with Anne Marie. I wish we bought gelato instead. It was a really sweet day...

Worky Work

Well here I am... at work. My title is Facility Supervisor which means I ge to supervise the facilities! I wear a blue vest, vacuum, clean the machines, make sure Facility Monitors are here, and put away weights, (By the way, Mr. Macho Man, do you think you could put away the 50 pound weights you use to keep the door open and rack the dumbells when you're done using them?). Today is my turn to work Friday night and as you probably guessed.... there isn't much to do. Right now there are some fellas playing basketball and the quiet Facility Monitor is reading Sports Illustrated although he doesn't seem like the SI type. Maybe National Geographic? I like both magazines. I get to walk around the premises in 15 minute increments and make sure everything is like it should be but since it's 9:13 on the first Friday of the school year, nothing much has changed in the last few passes so I think I'll just extend that 15 minutes into something more like 20 or 30. Earlier some other boys were playing ball in the gym downstairs and one accidently hit the other under the eye with his elbow, he came upstairs bleeding so I suggested he rinse with water and then go find his RD and slap some Neosporin on it, I wish I knew where a First Aid kit was, then I could write this incident down and everyone in the Athletics office would know I'm capable of handling such things.... oh whatever!

Well that's all. I know, I'm really interesting. Tomorrow for practice we're running at the River Walk downtown and then I have the rest of the day for homework, cleaning, and sleeping! I'm so glad I got a work study job where I don't have to work on Saturday!

First Day of School!!!!!!

So today is our first day of classes. I only had two classes, one from 8.30- 9.20 and the other from 9.30-10.45. First was PE 153 - PE for athletes, I like my professor and the other kids... it makes for a fun bunch. My other class is Intro to Lit, it's a 100 level class so it's mostly freshman and we're pretty much all taking it to fulfill some distribution requirement... the category is slipping my mind. Oh well. Anyway, it was a pretty easy morning, after class Stephanie lifted some light weights, ate lunch, and I'm home free until practice at 4. After practice and dinner I have an athlete meeting, a hall meeting, and a dorm meeting. Oh yeah, I'm also supposed to have work from 7.30 -11.30 but I'm trying to get someone to cover for me while I'm at that dang athlete meeting. Oh baby. So many meetings in so little time.... my brain hurts.

Well that was a boring post.
